Eine Million Menschen schiffte sich in 200 Jahren nach Indonesien ein, nur ein Drittel \u00fcberlebte. Es ist eine zauberhafte Landschaft, in der jedoch Fieber und Hitze herrschten. Sir Laurens van der Post erinnerte sich aus seiner Gefangenschaft bei den Japanern von 1945 bis 1948, jeder Tag sei gleich gewesen: Die Sonne geht auf, blauer Himmel und Hitze; die Sonne geht unter. Wir sehen uns nun ein paar sch\u00f6ne Bilder an. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Sie stammen vom dem Japaner Utagawa Hiroshige (1842-1895), von dem das Rietberg-Museum derzeit eine Serie zeigt. Zwar sind sie aus Japan, doch den ganzen Zauber S\u00fcdostasiens geben sie wieder. (<em>Dank wiederum an die Library of Congress, Wash.
