Immer steht da eine Statue der <em>Maria addolorata<\/em>, der Schmerzensmutter. Sie tr\u00e4gt Schwarz.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/manipogo.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/SDC11101-2.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-27547\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-27547\" src=\"https:\/\/manipogo.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/SDC11101-2.jpg\" alt=\"SDC11101\" width=\"540\" height=\"461\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Marienstatuen im Freien sind immer wei\u00df und leuchten ganz besonders \u2014 was aber an meinem merkw\u00fcrdigen alten Fotoapparat liegen mag. Hier soll noch bemerkt werden, dass Maria im Alten Testament nicht Maria war: Auf Hebr\u00e4isch hei\u00dft sie Miriam.<\/p>\n<p>Maria oder Miriam wird geliebt, weil das Volk zu einer G\u00f6ttin beten m\u00f6chte. Vor dem Christentum, als die Griechen in Kalabrien Siedlungen errichteten, veranstalteten die Ureinwohner Feiern zu Ehren von Persephone (oder Kore), als Gattin von Pluto Mit-Chefin der Unterwelt. Wir kamen mit dem Schiff nach Rinella auf der Insel Salina, die Braut ging an der Hand des Brautvaters gerade in die Kirche, und drinnen machten sie sich dann zur Zeremonie bereit. Es war eine kleine Festversammlung von vielleicht 20 Leuten. Der Priester segnete sie und kam sogar zu uns Touristen nach hinten, schenkte uns ein breites L\u00e4cheln und dann ein paar Spritzer Weihwasser.
