Bei meinem letzten Aufenthalt in der N\u00e4he von Z\u00fcrich (vor 1 Monat) las ich gerade Soul Mountain<\/em> von Gao Xinjiang und wollte mich mit dem Buch an den See setzen; dann fiel mir der China-Garten in der N\u00e4he des Uto-Quais ein, und von dem zeigen wir heute ein paar Fotos. \u00a0 <\/p>\n

Es ist ein sehr junger Garten. 1994 spendierte ihn die chinesische Stadt Kunming ihrer Partnerstadt Z\u00fcrich. Es sei, steht auf einer Tafel, eines der gr\u00f6\u00dften Heiligt\u00fcmer au\u00dferhalb Chinas (die Aufschriften an den Pagoden und S\u00e4ulen verstehen wir ja nicht). Der Eintritt ist frei \u2014 mitten in Z\u00fcrich fast eine Provokation.<\/p>\n

Kunming hat \u00fcber 5 Millionen Einwohner und liegt im S\u00fcden Chinas (wo auch Soul Mountain<\/em> spielt) , auf einem Plateau, das milde Temperaturen garantiert. Aus diesem Grund nennt man Kuming die \u00bbStadt des ewigen Fr\u00fchlings\u00ab. Wie Z\u00fcrich liegt sie an einem See, dem 40 Kilometer langen Dian-See. Kunming hat Kontakt zu 25 Schwesterst\u00e4dten; die Verbindung mit Z\u00fcrich besteht seit 40 Jahren und ist die zweit\u00e4lteste (die \u00e4lteste zu Fujisawa, Japan).<\/p>\n
