Die Tastatur des Tablets funktionierte nicht, also musste ich die Zeit mit anderen Beitr\u00e4gen f\u00fcllen, und nun wei\u00df ich gar nicht, wie ich anfangen soll. Es gab einfach zu viele Chedis und Buddhas und W\u00e4chter, zu viel Gold, zu viel Himmelstrebendes. Bmerkung hilfreich, die Gesichter auf den gro\u00dfen Werbefl\u00e4chen seien immer ziemlich hell, jedenfalls heller als im Leben. Ich erinnerte mich an Thong, unseren F\u00fchrer auf dem Rad durch Sukhothai. Er bemerkte, vorher habe das Land Siam gehei\u00dfen, Land der mit den dunklen Gesichtern, und das gefalle ihm nicht; er ziehe Thailand vor, das Land des L\u00e4chelns. Und Roland Barthes, der franz\u00f6sische Soziologe, fotografierte bei einer Reise in Japan die Abbilder von Europ\u00e4ern, die in Zeitungen irgendwie asiatisch wirkten, also wie pr\u00e4pariert.<\/p>\n<p>Thong \u00fcbrigens meinte, wir beiden s\u00e4hen uns \u00e4hnlich! Seine Ehrlichkeit gefiel uns. Doch wir beiden haben nur zuf\u00e4llig \u00e4hnlich lange Nasen, doch Giovanna ist dunkelhaarig, ich blond, sie Frau, ich Mann, sie hat dunkle Augen, ich helle.
