Sein Buch <em>I Malavoglia<\/em> (Die Malavoglia, Name einer Familie) hatte Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts gro\u00dfen Erfolg und zeigte das Leben von sizilianischen Fischern, die unverschuldet in Not und Elend geraten.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/manipogo.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/0301.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-6578\" title=\"030\" src=\"https:\/\/manipogo.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/0301.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"370\" srcset=\"https:\/\/manipogo.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/0301.jpg 540w, https:\/\/manipogo.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/0301-300x205.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Luchino Visconti, der den ber\u00fchmten Kini-Ludwig-Film mit Helmut Berger um 1970 gedreht hat, schuf nach dem Buch 1948 den Film <em>Terra trema<\/em> (Die Erde bebt; weil die Familie den Titel I Malavoglia nur gegen viel Geld hergeben wollte), sp\u00e4ter dann verfilmte er <em>Die G\u00e4rten der Finzi-Contini<\/em> von Bassani und auch noch den <em>Leopard<\/em>. Visconti verarbeitete alles.<\/p>\n<p>Die Geschichte der Malavoglia spielt in Acitrezza, wohin mich das Gl\u00fcck schickte. Da gibt es eine Statue f\u00fcr den Autor Verga, der von 1840 bis 1922 lebte,\u00a0und das Museum <em>La Casa del Nespolo<\/em> mit zwei kleinen R\u00e4umen, die zeigen, wie arme Fischer vor 100 bis 150 Jahren ihr Dasein fristeten. Alessia gab mir eine kleine F\u00fchrung.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/manipogo.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/0281.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"028\" src=\"https:\/\/manipogo.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/0281.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"575\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Verga kam aus Catania mit der Kutsche und lie\u00df sich inspirieren. Der Patron der Familie, Ntoni, gibt immer Redewendungen und Lebensweisheiten von sich, die gro\u00dfe Unternehmung der Malavoglia scheitert, ein Sohn kommt ins Gef\u00e4ngnis, sie selbst verarmen v\u00f6llig, und der gute rechtschaffene Alfio\u00a0darf am Ende die Tochter der Familie nicht heiraten. Sie sei nicht zu haben, meint sie, da zu arm und zu alt (26 Jahre).
